All data transmission is secured via HTTPS/TLS, and we use token-based authentication (JWT) and strict Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) to ensure only authorized users can access information.

We have active implementation plans for major regulations, including COPPA (US), FERPA (US), GDPR (EU), and BIPA (Illinois), focusing on verifiable parental consent, data retention policies, and providing parents with the right to access and delete their child's data.

FacePass stores a secure, encoded representation (a biometric template/encoding) of the face, not the actual, raw image itself. This encoded data is highly protected, private, and inaccessible to unauthorized parties. The original student photo used for enrollment is stored in encrypted, private storage.

You receive a near real-time alert via your preferred channel (Push or Email) the instant your child is recognized at the school gate. The notification confirms the exact timestamp of the successful check-in or check-out event.

Currently, FacePass operates as a standalone, secure attendance system. However, for our Enterprise Plan customers, we offer the option for custom integrations with existing Student Information Systems (SIS) or Learning Management Systems (LMS) as a "Coming Soon" feature.
